Office Furniture USA adds seven new dealer partners in third quarter

Birmingham, Ala. – The record expansion pace for Office Furniture USA shows no signs of slowing, as the company added seven new dealerships in the third quarter to its growing base of partners.

So far in 2008, Office Furniture USA has added 23 dealer partners in the U.S. and one distributor in Guam. In 2007, 24 dealerships were added during the year. That was the most since 2003. In its 16-year history, the company has never added more than 20 dealerships in two consecutive years.

The seven recently added dealerships are located in San Antonio, Texas; New Orleans, La.; Kansas City, Mo.; Columbus, Ga.; Albuquerque, N.M.; Atlanta, Ga.; and Tyler, Texas.

“We continue to identify the best, most successful dealerships in the U.S. as potential partners,” said Dennis Arnold, president of Office Furniture USA. “While we want to expand our base of dealer partners, we also want to focus on professional, high-quality dealers who will bring a lot to the table. With these new dealer partners, we’ve been very successful in attracting the type of dealerships we want in our program.”

In addition to adding new partners, Office Furniture USA continues to open new showrooms across the country. So far in 2008, 19 new showrooms have been opened, with eight of those coming in the third quarter: Cincinnati, Ohio; Pittsburgh, Pa.; Burlington, N.C.; Honolulu, Hawaii; Minneapolis, Minn.; San Diego, Calif.; San Antonio, Texas; and Fort Worth, Texas. Ten additional showrooms are scheduled for opening before the end of the year.

Office Furniture USA contracts with dealers and manufacturers to provide quality furniture at affordable prices to consumers. The company serves its customers through e-commerce, catalogs and 167 dealer-owned franchises in 39 states.
