Office Furniture USA sets record for new dealer partners in 2008

 

 

Birmingham, Ala. – Office Furniture USA added 36 new dealer partners in 2008, the largest number of new partners added in a single year since the company’s inception in 1992.

 

The record growth comes on the heels of a successful expansion effort in 2007, when 24 new dealer partners were added. The 60 dealer partners added in the past two years means the company now has 189 sales locations in 40 states across the country.

 

“We set a company goal to add 24 dealers in 2008, and obviously we easily surpassed that,” said Dennis Arnold, president of Office Furniture USA. “We’re seeing increasing interest among dealers in our program, because it allows them to earn significant profit margins while reducing logistical and overhead costs.

 

While we want to expand our base of dealer partners, we also want to focus on professional, high-quality dealers who have a drive to grow and succeed,” Arnold said. “With these new dealer partners, we’ve been very successful in attracting the type of dealerships we want in our program.”

 

Arnold said the company wants to add another 30 dealer partners to its program in 2009.

 

In addition to adding new partners, Office Furniture USA continues to open new showrooms across the country. In 2008, the company opened 23 new showrooms, and 15 more are scheduled to open in the first quarter of 2009.
